When the option to play multiplayer appears, you’ll see an option for player two to join in the top-right corner.
You have the options to use single Joy-Cons or hooking up a Pro Controller for multiplayer. Once you get past Chapter 1, you should have the option to have a second player join you on the battlefield through the Map Preparation screen. To play multiplayer on Fire Emblem Warriors for the Switch you’ll have to progress through the story by yourself initially. With local co-op being a dying breed it’s nice to see some games still implement the feature. Online multiplayer is out of the question this time around but Nintendo has still given us a way to play local co-op with a friend. The gameplay is the same as in Age of Calamity, its a Warrior game with a zelda skin on it. Its basically fan service with a mashup of many favorite characters from different Zelda games, full of easter eggs.
The result is a surprisingly solid foundation that will help you find hours of enjoyment as you slash through hordes of enemies with your Fire Emblem characters.Īlthough most Dynasty Warriors games focus on the single-player element, there is still a way to play multiplayer with a friend. Hyrule Warriors has a story, I personally liked it, but its not canon. The game takes on the tried and true Dynasty Warriors hack-and-slash gameplay and infuses some Fire Emblem action into the mix. Fire Emblem Warriors is the latest Dynasty Warriors-inspired Nintendo spin-off.
